:O @ that number of IP adresses
That’s quite a lot for $6.99 /m lol
Indeed
I was considering this offer for a deployment at Dallas but… I don’t know now…
Newbie question, for the LEB3 offer, what does the 2536MB Burst mean? can I use 2048+2536MB or maximum of 2536MB?
It means your are guaranteed 2048MB of RAM, but if everyone has not used their full allocation of RAM then you will be able to use up to 2536MB.
No IPv6 in Dallas?
When I e-mailed sales a couple of hours before buying one, they said the Dallas location was new and they didn’t have all the test IPs and files up yet. AFAIK (though I could be wrong), there is IPv6 in Dallas.
Crazy offer!!…Will get me one:)
What templates do you have available?
I got one a few days back. Here’s what’s available in SolusVM:
arch-2010.05-x86_64-minimal.tar.gz
CentOS 5 32-bit
Centos 5 64bit DNS Only
Centos 5 64bit W/CPanel and Softaculous
CentOS 6 32bit
Centos 6 64bit
Centos 6 64bit With Cpanel
Centos 6 with CPanel DNSOnly
Centos 6 with Plesk Panel
Debian 5 64bit
Debian 6 32bit
Debian 6 64 bit
Fedora 17 64bit
Suse 11 64bit
Ubuntu 11.04 64bit
Ubuntu 12.04 64bit
Free CPanel, or pay more to use it?
Obviously pay more.. Template != license
Cpanel can be installed as part of the template. It will show a big yellow banner saying that it is unlicensed, unless you install the license.
It says port speed is 100Mbit, but I’ve gotten 20MB/s out of it. DD:
Some other stuff: My IPv4 addresses were consecutive, additional IPv6 free on request. Support is fairly prompt, though the Kayako system is somewhat confusing. Port speed:
That’s pretty poor disk I/O, with SSD caching nowadays people expect a few hundred MB/s.
This is clearly not a VPS for disk-heavy stuff, then. Check out RamNode or SwiftVM for that. Disk I/O has never been a concern of mine, but if it is for you, now you know. It would still make a decent backup VPS with the size of the disk, and you’ll frankly have no problem with processor/memory intensive stuff. Frankly, I’ve never used any type of disk-critical app/system, so as long as you can write to the disk, I’m fine. For the price, I think this is a good offer, and I’m happy with it.
What location is this in?
– -5 IPs OK I should told my friend that low price of IPs is coming.
i have test in date 8/5/2013
this vps slow conection
i use for ssh only 230 kbps..
this nice from web server only… because big ram and disk
Mas bro, memangnya aman ya register domain .us padahal kita orang Indonesia?
Aman koq masbro, saya udah setahun lebih punya domain .us walapun bukan buat website aktif sih.
Saya baru nyadar, kalau selama ini saya punya teman baik hati dan hebat, tapi baru tau hari ini setelah buka blognya galihresah. :)
Terima kasih atas ucapan Idul Fitri yang dulu, dan juga ilmu yang dibagikan di blog :)
rata2 tunneling kedalas emang segitu mas bro :(
When you click order it takes you to an empty shopping cart with no information at all what to do.
Hey mike.
Sorry fixed!
great offer….! i get 1 LEB3-R
here my test…
thank you
I cant believe these results. Are you sure you got one of these servers. There’s no way these are from a 100Mbps port.
yes i.m
these my second result
Which server are you testing it from?
I find it strange you said that you got a server from them, then post results of speed tests using their test files. If you’re testing from serverhub server, to serverhub test files within the same network, no doubt you’ll get such a high speed.
different test from other server
That’s more like it. :)
This doesn’t seem like a 100Mbit port to me.
@matthewvz MB -> Mb = x8
18.1 x 8 = 144.8Mbit/s. Seems more than 100Mbit. Be happy :)
Jarvis.M: I was saying it is over 100Mbps, not under :P
Well, MaxMind error, perhaps because of my Chinese IP?
Submitted a ticket and waiting for their reply…
LEB3-R 2048MB – WOW deal! number of ip’s man
Anyone having problems with CPU? I’m just running apt-get upgrade and it’s taking a very very long time to upgrade. Things like running top also seem to take a few seconds before they work.
I haven’t had issues with mine, u should contact support they helped solve my problem fast.
Convert the 100GB space to 200GB and I’ll gobble it up. ;)
They do offer customization of the order on the site, but disk space is the only thing you can upgrade :(
LOL sorry I meant you can’t upgrade it.
Yea, their customization options are quite novel, and a rarity on LEB. Just a friendly advise to you guys, next time, be flexible with your IPs too..
See, right now, your premium plan has five IPv4s, while most people need only 1. At the same time, most people prefer a quad core for a configuration with 2 GB RAM. So why not have something with 4 cores, and just 1 IPv4 to start with, at the LEB limit of $7. Price it at $6, and you’ll have a crowd.
Economics are sound.
4 cores cost $3.99
4 IPv4s cost $5.
Losing 4 IPs and getting 4 cores would be nice.
Also some of your upgrades are weirdly priced.
65 GB to 75GB upgrade is $14.99. WTH?
65 GB to 100GB is $19.99. Is there a point in paying $20 for getting just 35GB RAM, when one can just purchase the $7 plan.
The last statement had a typo. Disk Space, not RAM.
They just seem have a surplus of IPv4, the AS announces something like 131 thousands (a /15), so IPs don’t cost to them anywhere close to what you said. So all your convoluted math is not even close to being valid.
That wasn’t math. That was a copy paste of the cost of these addon resources on their site. I wasn’t talking about what IPs cost them. I was describing the cost they’ve mentioned for addon IPs in plans where they offer it.
nice ips but 1 core wow no thanx
You can customize on the order form – dual core is just $1.99/mo more.
lol Great!!
I ordered it
Thx
How long do accounts take to be provisioned? I just put in my order but I haven’t even gotten an email confirmation.
Spam, check your spam! I promise you it’s there.
@ServerHub:
Would you be interested in having your VPS listed @ http://geekahost.com/db/show.php ?
@Geetahost,
Sure!
Provisioning takes some time apparently. A little weird when you’re used to automated systems that send you your info as soon as payment is made. Going on about 14 hours waiting for provisioning.
Also forgot to add, spam filters picked up emails, you should probably add that to your confirmation pages to add the email so it doesn’t get caught by junk filters. :/
Same here, I got them all in my Spam box. :\
I purchased this yesterday. Apparently the VPS corrupted itself, so they had to reset it. I’m not able to SSH into it right now. They were responsive with the first ticket, but still waiting for updates on not being able to SSH into it. Overall, seems like a great service.
I’ll update on this soon
I grabbed one late Saturday night and thus far I’ve been pretty happy with it (albeit, not productive). I opted to upgrade to a dual core for the extra $1.99. After toying around with CentOS 6.4 for a little bit I reinstalled with an Ubuntu image (12.04), got it upgraded to 13.04 without any issue and it’s resting at a cool 1.8GB free – and I haven’t started tearing it down and tweaking it yet.
A great deal – I’m very happy with it so far.
UnixBench Benchmark
Ordered one yesterday, experienced very slow SSH responses and lots of FTP timeouts. Submitted a support ticket nearly 24 hours with no response.
tnks fo info bro
I did try these guys earlier.. It’ll be great until you get a hardware/network/solus issue. Once the issue starts, there’ll be no one to help you on support desk(you are lucky if you get a reply in 24 hours)..
Never use it for hosting any thing critical.
How long ago did you use their service? I signed up on the last offer and have had no issue getting response from support.
I don’t like to be the complainer, as I’d much rather be raving about good service…
15 hours to provision because my account was “flagged” for manual review. (Payment went through fine, so why the flag?)
IPv6 allocated but doesn’t work at all, 15 hours to get a response that its being “looked into”. Still waiting.
Website is broken, not slightly, but extremely. Log in and attempt to use the customer portal, it’s absolutely brutal.
The deals are great, but had to know this was all too good to be true once I signed up. Only give I have is that I signed up on a weekend, so let’s hope business hours prove to be better.
I completely agree with their backend – it’s a mess and doesn’t offer an impressive featureset. Looks like running 2-3 independent companies was busier than anticipated; the solution: just slap them all together.
Michael,
We only have 1 brand, our Support and Billing portals are separated. It is something we are looking to merge in the future, however at this time they are different portals.
Tom
I am very sorry you experienced a delay in your initial order. Sometimes orders require additional review prior to activation. I am glad that this was resolved for you quickly and welcome to the ServerHub Family
Do the prices go up after the first month?
With lack of support responses, not sure what to say on that one. However the support team seems to have fixed all of my issues, and my vps is working exceptionally well. As long as this continues, I do believe this should be a sexy provider to have.
Avoid this provider at all cost. Fourth day since I purchased VPS and I still can’t access it. They sent me access information to their VPS management console that did not work. They sent me access information for the VPS that did not work. I have asked for a refund due to non-delivery of product I purchased.
Have you tried contacting their support? just because your login info didn’t work doesn’t mean they suck, solusvm is one the buggiest vm panels and sometimes they don’t provision right.
Love this deal, got a VPS from them during the their last LEB special and so far great support and service. One of their guys I think named Tyler was a great help when I had issues.
Takes several hours to provision the VPS + bad network, unable to even ping the server.
Cancelled account.
what’s the significance of having multiple IPv6s? I have no idea just because I legitimately do not know much, and am curious. Is there a certain task ya’ll do that requires multiple IPs?
Thanks
Sometimes, hosting companies need dedicated IP’s. There are also other needs for it, such as special programs that don’t support multiple sets of applications per IP.
worst VPS provider . I got a server from them last month. but mid of this month i had to stop my service. servers are always down. more than 10-20min per day. Time to time serve down.
Did you contact support? My server has never been down over the last month and I am using pingdom to check. Maybe just the node you are on. With a popular offer like this they are likely to get some bad customers. Im sure they will move you to another server if you ask.
Why not. i asked lot of times to them to fix this issues. always they are telling we will investigating this issue.i think they are still investigating. but they could not stop my server down issue.
Maybe a bad node, should ask to be moved. They have done that for me in past.
Ok. I’ve gotten my server with 5 IP addresses, and it’s kinda weird. Nano was not installed by default (this is Ubuntu), and it did take a while to get the server. I’m going to test to see if those IP’s are mine.
Also, this is the wget:

Is this in Phoenix or Dallas? I bought one in Phoenix last month and thinking about maybe getting one in Dallas since its closer to me.
Hey could you share some Phoenix speed tests? I got one Dallas VPS from their WHT offer. If Phoenix got better network then I might consider changing location.
This is coming from my Dallas:
http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/05/14/CgKIxhWVRDwF2jQ9
Phoenix
My server has been decent so far. There was a very slow CPU at the start but I think it’s resolved. For what I’m running it works, only got it for the IP addresses anyway.
Strange. Just today when I wrote that my VPS starts going offline :/
Has been going off and on for the last twenty minutes I think.
Server is still offline at this time, support said that they are investigating but failed to give any additional information on what’s causing the issues.
Relatedly: some providers use email for support and others web-based ticket system. But ServerHub seems to use a convoluted hybrid: When I submit a ticket it sends me an email and responses also come over email; so I’m not sure how to reply to a response… I’m assuming I just email them back, but all in all it’s very confusing. Honestly would be better just to have a support email address like EDIS does in that case.
Server is back online!
I ordered two days ago and got flagged for manual review… they haven’t gotten back to me yet even though I opened up a ticket and explained my situation.
I bought this server just now, and its all running smoothly .. i love this server now :)
http://prntscr.com/16epxs
i order LEB1-R 1024MB, and I just added a 1 core cpu only, so i have 2 core now :)
http://prntscr.com/16eqih
so, i hope this server and they service can be good. sorry if my english isn’t good, i’m from indonesia
thx serverhub
I bought the LEB3-R 2048MB VPS with 2 CPU Cores 3 weeks ago. Until now I’m happy with this server. The UnixBench results during one day between 900 and 1500 points. The first 2 days there were some problems with the network (about 6 hours). The support told me it was a DOS attack.
I have purchased one of the above servers from ServerHub at their Dallas location. I’ve put up a speedtest below.
http://box.1e10.net/100mb.test
Unable to resist thoir offer. Finally take one arizona VPS. Wanna try it for 1 month.
Fast activation. Less than 1 minutes after payment, server up and running. Hope their support also fast considering some complain above me
Took them up on their 2048 plan yesterday and I’m very happy with it.
As D.Strout posted previously, my IPv4 addresses were all sequential which is nice :P
Activation email came through before I even got redirected from PayPal back to ServerHub!
Have set up all my glue records for IPv4 and IPv6 and now I’m gonna start transferring my sites over.
100% network Availability
100% Native IPv6 network
30 Minute Support Ticket Response
24/7/365 Customer Support
End-To-End Cisco powered network
….
Is a lie,The fact is support is very poor, nobody reply your TK…
I couldn’t resist. Signed up. Server set up in minutes.
So far, so good.
The OpenVZ Quota for cPanel not working..
please help to fix that..
Been waiting 2 days now for my services, no emails, no way to contact. Live chat is not “Live”. Nothing from there support …….. waste of money. No way to contact them ……..Stay Away
got a refund ………. Thanks LEB
but they have good design and shit services
Just ordered the LEB3-R 2048MB from these guys. The initial server did not spin up. Support responded and had it fixed in under 40 minutes. Server’s speeds to other 100 meg test files from other providers indicate a 100 M/bs port. So far so good!
Did their support online ?
purchased their VPS 1 days ago. but can’t even access to my vps after i recived the vps info.
2 support tickets almost 24+ hours now but never get reply! there are very bad service! dM how to request refund?
I haven’t used my two serverhub OpenVZ instances to get a great feel for performance but have to say customer service is brilliant. One of my instances was on a hardware host that didn’t have the needed kernel modules for connection tracking. Submitted a ticket and solved very quickly.
Hi guys latest speed test for Dallas location ,
This VPS plan goes waste day by day server speed is down too slow you can’t open cpanel at lease within 1 min.
