A2B2 – WHT Special $5/Month VPS in UK

Tags: , , Date/Time: March 20, 2008 @ 9:50 am, by LowEndAdmin

Via this WHT post, CheapVPS (a2b2) is having a WHT special for 30 VPS only (they might be all gone when this post went live). For £30/year or $60/year, you can get the following VPS in UK:

  • 128MB guaranteed 4GB burstable
  • 10GB storage
  • CentOS / LxAdmin

I guess it would be OpenVZ based. No idea about the amount of data transfer.

Update: They are doing it again.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.

This plan does not seem to be on your comparison matrix, and neither does this serverways plan.

  2. Alex:

The bandwith for this plan is 150GB according to their website.

Have you considered making a matrix for the dedicated servers?

Also, the link for comfy host on the vps matrix is broken, (the link points to tags with “compfyhost”, it should be “comfyhost” (no p)) although it seems comfy host has increased the price of that plan to 10$ per month.

  3. @Alex — thanks for correcting the errors.

    1. I have removed comfyhost’s plan from the comparison matrix.

    2. serverways no longer trades and have moved all their VPS customers to web wide hosting (which is on the comparison matrix).

    3. This A2B2 plan is limited offer. In fact with only 30 places it is very limited so I didn’t put them on the comparison matrix.

    Thanks!
