    Julian, why dont you solve the problems with your current servers and get sure your staff if working to provide the service we are paying for before getting into any more troubles and make more clients frustrated,

    i got one of your master reseller plans and 1 month ago the nightmare begun, server load is over 12 average and the server has only 8 cores, the sql server hangs or close every while and for more headache the databases of some of my clients got corrupted, you guys have affected my business reputation, my clients, my life and even my health,

    as most of you might know, cpanel will just queue backups if the load is high, so dont make it more troubles, so i dont even have a way to get my clients accounts in order to leave, Joshua is trying to help, he offered a VPS for a good price to move me out, but your support staff, George mainly, isnt able to even restart my accounts, you guys dont make backups and your server doesnt allow me to do so,

    and finally George started to suspend my accounts, at the beginning without even a warning, now with this:

    I could see your DB xxxxxxxxxx_wp581 is taking more usage on host node.

    Please have a check. We will unsuspend it temporarily.

    Check for ticket Support #548534 – More MySQL usage, honestly do you think that with cloudlinux resource limits, its needed to suspend an account cause has more visits that others?, honestly suspend the top client account of your reseller does it makes sense for you? Its having visitors against your terms of service?

    You said last night We have minimized the usage from our end, now you suspend back, so what the hell did you do last night? Have at least coherence. You are putting yourself in evidence, you didnt do shit last night! You dont know how to manage a server, you dont have any knowledge or understanding of cloudlinux features, youre pathetic!

    it piss me off that you are more worried for suspend my account than for fix the databases that your server corrupted or make a way out of this for me, or offer the service that clients are paying for, where in your terms of service says that the account with more visits should be suspended?

          Julian, I’ve give my complain to one of your staff in bhw to improve your “Suspend User’s Account Without Warning” problem. I’ve said to him your system need to improve workflow & a bug(maybe):

          1. Warn users regarding any action you take on their acc. Ban, suspend, anything! Dont simply ban them without any single word. That is totally unprofessional.
          2. When your staff reply to tickets, it will not arrive at users mail.

          I thought he would listen and improve but he just read my complain & blame me back. WTH man? Well actually, IDGAF. Your business, totally yours to manage. This offer is mouth watering, but judging from previous experience, I just hold my back.

      It is still a good choice for breaking GFW as it allows VPN and proxies. However, there is no reason to purchase add-on for additional disk space. :)

        Downloading torrents directly on the VPS is prohibited. However we do allow VPN/proxies. Many Chinese customers use our VPS to bypass GFW. We’re in LA, so the speeds to China aren’t bad either.

    When they just started, server speed and performance is good. After a few months they get more customers and the speed and performance is getting BAD to WORST.

    If anyone really like their price, than use the servers for your testing site. If you want to buy and use for business YOU ARE JUST ASKING FOR TROUBLE…

    I had ordered 1 Dedicated Server 3 days back and raised ticket that hey how much time it will take for deployment

    they replied, ” Our management person will get to you over this ” Since that time i raise 20 Tickets All the time same reply, Once i got reply they will be replying you in few min and its been 20Hour+ Since his few min is not passing.

    I am completly frausteted with these guys and just need refund but now they are not listening anything

    No Server = No Refund

    I raised Dispute at paypal, But leaving this msg here to aware peoples that what is happening when you choose such firm.

    Do not waste your time and money on AlphaRacks. I ordered one of their plans and then attempted to change the service plan to a higher paying plan 2 days after I paid the invoice. They told me to wait and they would get back to me. 5 days later after no response, I created a new ticket to request refund/cancellation. They responded that it has been more than 3 days so they can’t refund. Then they closed the original ticket without responding to it. And refused to speak with me.

    Even if you think you may not ever use support or need to change your service plan, don’t waste your money and time on AlphaRacks. A lot can happen in a year and nobody is perfect. If the host can’t even engage with the customer within their own money back guarantee, what hope will you have 6 months down the road?

      Julian refunded the money and canceled my VPS as requested. I shouldn’t of had to jump through hoops, but credit is due to him for stepping up and making it right. Thanks, Julian.

      I had no problems with the VSP from what little I used it, just setting up the basic nginx/php/maria. Speed was what was advertised and there was no noticeable CPU lag. My problem was purely a customer service one and hopefully Julian has worked to correct it.

    AlphaRacks are good, and not good at the same time.
    The fact that they have DDOS protected servers in LA for $11 a year is amazing.
    But their network seems weird. Downloading files off of OVH servers download at 300KB/s, but speedtests show speeds of 500Mb/s+ so I’m not sure.

    Anyway the staff are helpful and the servers have good hardware.

        We are still waiting for the refund of the money i paid for the last two invoices when the server was failing and the money i paid for a dedicated ip for a year that i won’t be using cause you choose to cancel out account when we post here to get your attention on the problem that your service caused us several financial problems with our clients and even healthy problems, you guys simply lost all the data from our clients on the reseller plan we had, and the responses to the ticket simply dont come or are delaying it like on purpose, now you say you cannot send payments via paypal but only refunds and that paypal does not allow refunds for transactions that were made over 60 days ago, so i want t get your layer contact details cause it’s fair to get our money back and a compensation for our clients.

    I tried them out and their network speed was awful for certain area. Even though it’s supposed to be a gigabit connection, I was getting <1Mbps most of the time. They tried to "optimize" my connection and there was no difference. I think they're just throttle our speed and squeezing 100 nodes into a celeron CPU. I asked to ask for a refund after a few days of use and switched over the HostUS.us

    These VPS are really, really slow. Both network speeds *and* server speeds themselves.

    I was initially attracted to these servers because I’m in China and my speeds for the ‘100MB’ test file that is in the description were really really fast.
    Once I opened my account I realised this wasn’t the case. The VPS provided to customers, and the VPS/server the test file is hosted on are from two completely different locations and networks.

    A ‘broadband’ IP connect through the ISP SYN. No wonder @hefqueue above said it was worse than a DSL connection, it looks like it *is* a DSL connection!

    As another example of terrible speeds: `apt-get update` took about 10 mins, and downloading the test file directly to the VPS took 7 mins (speed of 240kBs/ from one of AlphaRacks’ servers to another!)

    Also, the speed of the VPS itself is terrible, it seems the resources are oversold. Running ‘apt-get install htop’ took over 5 minutes – to install a simple program.
    Running the same command on one of my many other VPS (which are actually advertised as having lower specs all round than the AlphaRacks VPS), it took 4 seconds to install htop

    So in summary, don’t choose this host:

    * The network speeds seem falsely advertised, and are absolutely terrible
    * The servers did not seem to perform up to the specs as advertised, and could be oversold.

    Granted AlphaRacks refunded my amount in full when I asked for it. Their support was fairly unresponsive on the whole though, and not very helpful, giving short and vague answers to my questions.

      I am also in China and got 2 VPS with them. So far so good, speeds are ok (knowing that in CN everything is slow) and I just bought a third one. Don’t mean that above bad reviews are real or not, because each box can have a different performance, but so far I am happy with what I got. Let’s see this third box performance…

        Interesting @Ruben. What VPS did you sign up for? I tried with 2 different data centers, because the speeds were just too slow. I don’t mean connection speeds to China. Even downloading Ubuntu updates or downloading files from their test file server were slow.

          Hot Summer VPS 768MB. I purchased yesterday another one but still did not get it :S
          I did an apt-update now and yes, saw no more than 600kpbs, but latency from China is around 250, which is better than many other providers (400 and up). Maybe was just lucky or sth, will see the new one.

            Patrick, I change my opinion about service. I bought it on Saturday, they still did not activated the service. Is common that paypal transaction does not arrive to ISPs, happens sometimes, but I had two tickets, two people replied “we are looking” in 48 hours, and nothing else. At some point asked me for the transaction id that was already there, and I need to travel without the VPS activated, despite I asked for urgency. So far, service is not at all 24/7, because during the weekend no one is looking at the tickets.

          To be fair, they took 4 days to activate it but once they did it it works for me.

          Maybe my expectations are low because I come from two ISP that failed (we love servers and virtwire, this last one with a terrible output, had many servers and they guy just dissapeared), but for 11 bugs a year, I think the connectivity and latency is pretty good and its 770mb of ram…. I’m happy with it and if I need more probably will buy them.

    I’ve had one for a little over a year. It hasn’t been bad. I had some issues when someone decided to try to brute force my SSH connection, they suspended my account because of my “abuse of service”. Took a few rounds of this cycle to get it figured out. Then my box kept dropping it’s tunneled connection resulting in my getting suspended for more “abuse of service”. Still suspended, probably just going to let it expire and move on.

    Absolute garbage. Like many have reported, I also get terrible network speeds. To top it off I keep receiving spam to sign up for more services. The unsubscribe link in the e-mail does not work and tells you to contact support. I have contacted support and have 2 outstanding tickets asking to STOP THE SPAM without a response!

  28. Stay away from these guys. I’ve tried 3 different VPS plans with them. The first too had pathetic network performance, and the third one I got today is so slow it’s literally taking more than 30 minutes just to run a simple apt-get upgrade on Debian. You definitely get what you pay for with these guys… which is nothing.

    AVOID these SCAMMERS who offer yearly services and then make sure you have the SLOWEST vps around. I opened a dispute with Paypal, and then “sorted” it for a week, and then it is complete RUBBISH. Nothing but CROOKS

    I took
    Hot Summer VPS 2048MB.
    And it was the biggest mistake to move my project there.
    Server are down almost every day and if it is now down it works very slow.
    Ok I understand that it is very cheap and I asked them could you increase my resources and give me a stable fast service and I’ve got an answer that they can’t they suggest me to move to KVM by myself and setup my server again with all of my projects.
    Look guys do not look on this cheap price the service is totally garbage!

    Never buy from this company. Agreeing to their terms means you do not get a refund. I understand that policy, but they also agreed to give me a server that worked. After multiple support tickets and replies with “should be fixed now” I have stopped using their servers. Save your money, go somewhere else.

    We have been using their VPS since a few months, and I even added another server just a few weeks ago. But out of the blue, they suspended one server. I opened a ticket and they send some network logs, with very vague claims, nothing specific at all, some connections to port 443 and 80. This has been going on for 2 weeks now with somewhere like 20 messages. Sometimes no response for several days. Server is still suspended. We use all servers the same way, its just a SSH proxy, used for browsing the web. There is no apache, email, smtp running at all. So far, always way below the bandwidth limit and pretty much no CPU usage. I have opened a paypal case now, because this is going nowhere. We do use other providers and so far did not have such issues at all in the past 12 months, even with the cheapest VPS.

    Never use this company. The support and managers are on lowest level ever.
    The server is overloaded without any reason (other servers on the same Node sending spam or using resource over the limits).
    I’m really afraid if i have to use this kind of service for a real project.
