LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

AMH Network - A$7.48 OpenVZ VPS with 384MB

Update August 2010: Domain stopped resolving on 25 August. Looks like it is now dead and the business has migrated to VPSSquad.com.

AMH Network Via this WHT offer. AMH Network is having a 50% recurring discount right now (with coupon code SUPERVPS) on their US or Germany VPS. Although this discount does not apply to this entry level VPS, it actually makes the next level up, “VPSAX” comes down to AUD$7.48 per month (which is ~USD$6.20). You get:

  • 384MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 200GB/month data transfer
  • 2 IP addresses

From the WHT offer page, servers are in either “Pennsylvania, USA” (which I guess would be BurstNET’s DC in Scranton) or Frankfurt, Germany.

Finally, a German vps with a lot of resources for super cheap. while 6.20$ is usually more than I am willing to pay, I had to get it. Its my highest resource vps yet. it got activated overnight while I was sleeping and I’ve been playing with it all day and it is very good so far.

  3. Just sign up, but I can’t login as root. Did uninstalled iptables/firewall, but still can’t access to SSH as root. Which part that I missed to access root? :)

    Signed up two weeks ago.

I’m AMAZED how fast (I live in Poland and choose server in Germany) and reliable it is.

I can’t believe that you can buy anything like this for that little money.

    Worth to try :)

    Best regards.

PS Hasanul – do you have SSH installed? :)

  5. oops, I missed this part :)
They setup new box with new IP for me in the same day after I submitted ticket. Love the Scranton for speed, but yesterday they move my box to Kansas at Joes, with node problem as the reason. But, it’s okay, got same speed from my country. And, ehm, free upgrade as apology :)
