Updated September 2010: Currently the website is showing a directory listing. Since Jacob has already sold GigeVPS to ThrustVPS, I think GrandiosHost might not be around either.

GradiosHost GrandiosHost is one of the new Xen VPS provider that I found when browsing through WHT. Domain was registered less than 2 months ago with WHOIS protection on. Well. At least it is offering some cheap VPS plans. Their Xen VPS plans start at $6.95/month, and you get

  • 128MB memory
  • 5GB storage
  • 50GB/month data transfer
  • VSControl (developed by JaguarPC)

Not too bad. Until when you read their about page.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Pellentesque ac purus a velit volutpat congue. Praesent molestie diam eget risus tempor pellentesque…

Yeah. Full of place holder text. Looks like the website is far from being finished. Their website is on WebNX in Los Angeles CA, but their network page says “The GH Network – Powered by GNAX”. GNAX is obviously on the other side in Atlanta GA, so I am not sure which one should I believe in. Their NS records also show some interesting stuff. Hmm.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.
