Ask them about IPv6, OVH supports IPv6 in their datacentres.

They said no IPv6 but it will be in near future. I like their £10/year 128MB OVZ vps – no issues yet.

  4. £3.99 GBP in USD = ~$6.31

I’ve had a good experience so far with their £10/year 128MB OVZ plan, so I’d give a personal recommendation here (:

Run a high frequmented database on it?

‘Cause the most of us will not need more than ~1.5GB of space, so the 5GB from the SSD is more then enough but with a much better performance ;)

  6. Hmm, never been a large fan of OVH, well, kimsufi specifically. However, I know many /decent/ hosts who have been able to launch with OVH and sustain themselves with great pricing. This deal is awesome for the price.

Can vouch for OVH’s network, if you want to see their server / traffic loads.

Great experience with this one (£2.50 regular OVZ plan, haven’t tried the SSD one yet).

I had initially the same MaxMind billing issue as I had when I tried to set up a VPS with 123com, only they fixed it in a matter of minutes.

I have contacted tech support a couple of times with various requests and they have been really fast and courteous in dealing with them (again, within a couple of minutes).

    Highly recommended.

So would you guys recommend this for running an SQL server on it? Or am I better prepared with an EDIS SSD VPS?

    • These SSD based nodes are perfect for SQL databases.
