There’s some serious guarantees that come with that: 60-day money back , 100% satisfaction , 99.9% uptime, non-oversold disk or RAM, non-blacklisted IPs at the time of purchase, and 24/7 technical support. The host node packs two Intel Xeon X5650 CPUs, 96GB of RAM, 4x 3TB Western Digital hard drives in RAID10, backed up by an LSI RAID card, and a 1Gbps uplink. Servers are with ColoCrossing in Buffalo. If you give VirtNetwork a try, please share your experiences with us here in the comments or at LowEndTalk.com!

Payment methods accepted are PayPal and Credit Cards through PayPal. As mentioned before, there’s quite some guarantees they give, but nonetheless you should read their Terms of Service before you order!

Sent them a support ticket 3+ hours ago letting them know their payment gateway(Paypal) was having issues. My support ticket was deleted(not closed, deleted) and I am still not able to do anything. They did not give me any sort of response before deleting the ticket. Looks like I know what company I will never be using(not because the fact that I can’t).
I was willing to look past the ColoCrossing deal for such a good deal, however, now I just assume VirtNetwork is just as shady as CC.

Don’t waste your time. Have a good one.

Whoah… just found out way more than I wanted to know about these guys. The boss, Alex Uren… used to work for GVH… and was fired…

“@GVH_Alex has been relieved of his duties earlier today and is no longer with us.
His email and credentials have been removed from our systems, and his account is no longer authorized to represent us on this board. @mpkossen has been notified appropriately regarding this.”

His Twitter account claims he lives in New York. The “street address” of VirtNetwork is actually a residential apartment building:
    https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-36.8541021,174.7594796,3a,75y,94.23h,100.08t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sPxcr8Xbqb2u63yO1CWNvVA!2e0!6m1!1e1

Their telephone number is just a recorded message.

There is no record of them having an official business registration in New Zealand that I can find, nor are they listed on any business search in the country. I can not find any record of Alex Uren on the White Pages in NZ, if he indeed lives there at all.

According to WebHostingTalk, Alex Uren is a 19 year old kid who’s father setup the business for him and he employs his TEN YEAR OLD SISTER in the company. (Not kidding… there’s a thread about it on WHT)

Apparently the company’s history goes back through several brand names which have either gone broke at the hands of AlexU and there are a litany of complaints following the people behind this operation.

As of now their website has been offline pretty much all night. It was online for about 30 minutes when I first saw the post on LEB. I signed up… and then they disappeared off the face of the earth with no means of contact.

    PING virtnetwork.com (198.12.104.164) 56(84) bytes of data.
    ^C
    — virtnetwork.com ping statistics —
829 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 828019ms

Despite their continual claims to the contrary, the “server” I bought today has been offline the entire time since I paid for it. No ping response. I cannot get support from them because they don’t answer their phones and their own website is offline. Wow…. can’t even keep their OWN website online.. Everyone who signed up to these guys just blew their money. I paid up for a year.

Whoops…. wish I’d researched THIS one a little better before I handed them a year’s worth of cash !

You don’t have to like this guy, but it doesn’t mean you should post all of his personal information.

      October 22, 2014 @ 7:46 pm | Reply
    • @ub3rst4r, Thank you. I appreciate that and I agree.

@David, Let me disect this, piece by piece.
      1. I have written many posts about my time at GVH and I do regret working for them (considering their past history). However, that was past and that’s why I decidced to form my own hosting company to provide a better service than they did.

      2. Does that matter? I’m not the only one who does so.

      3. We don’t provide phone support.

      4. Because I don’t want to be listed in the white pages. Having lived in New Zealand and Australia (where you are from), you surely should know this?

      5. Incorrect and Incorrect. The ’10 year old sister’ is actually from GVH, who Jonny hired to perform server migrations.

      6. We were under DDoS. WE have taken steps to ensure our website doesn’t go offline similar to like it did. No servers were effected.

      7. The support response times would’ve been slow because our client area was down.

Frankly put, I’m not here to argue and not here to debate with you. I am more than happy to refund you the amount in full as I do not want to continue anymore. Also, with all due respect, please research before posting comments relating to a certain person.

      Have a nice day.

Too good to be true. How can you offer a 12 core cpu at such a low price? What’s the catch? Can I use all 12 cores during peak? If yes for how much time can I use all 12 cores? Or is it a fake advertisement just like what most other advertisers do – “advertise as (say) 4 core but in reality allows only 1 core to use. I am interested to buy one if you clarify the CPU usage limit.

Are we allowed to run a node (non-mining). This would be for example, bitcoind (for bitcoin), which you’d need to host a wallet, or run a mining pool. Speaking of which, are mining pools allowed? (None of these are actually doing any mining themselves).

Won’t be recommending these guys, I bought Classic vps and got it with instant setup. I tried installing windows 2008 and 2012 from solus vm but both didnt boot up and showed error. I saw Windows 2008 disc mounted to CD rom of vps when I said solus vm to install server 2012. But I still did try running the disc and it worked but the harddrive was said to be locked.

I contacted support and after 4 and half hours their reply was,

    Hello,

We are looking into your issue, please hold on.

    and again after 5+ hours,

    Hi,
Can you please try with the ISO?

    Chur,

This was bad and by that time, i figured it out and used windows server 2008 reinstall option in solus panel, and from the CD iso that came with it i installed windows 2008 and then upgraded to windows server 2012 from my own iso by downloading that to it.

Less than a day after that, i saw my vps was down, i logged in to solus vm and saw vps was offline and I had to do a manual bootup. Then it worked fine for another 12 hours when it was down again and this time I couldn’t access SolusVM Directly or from WHMCS. I opened a ticket and they provided me direct IP address to solus vm where I saw my vps was again offline and did a manual bootup. All happened within 3 days of purchase.

I requested a refund and they did keep up their word and gave me a refund in less than 6 hours. That was good, the internet speed was around 100mb for upload and download and overall speed was good.
Wished their uptime was good as well.

    • Thank you very much for writing in and letting us know about the service you have had.

I’d like to thank you for giving us a go, and apologies about the the support and server issues you have experienced.
It seems like your ticket was submitted during the time when our site was under heavy DDoS, therefore we could only respond when our site was up again. Apologies about this, and we have measures in place to prevent this in the future. We are also in the process of recruiting more support staff per shift.

We are also aware of the issue with our node ‘theta’, we had issues last night which are now resolved.

Once again, thank you for giving VN a go, and all the best for the future.

  34. As a former Employee of Frostserve, Flameserve, and Bringto.net
I would strongly suggest not to buy anything from Alexander.
He can’t be trusted and as an employee and previous investor in Bringto.net i would like to warn you!
You will eventually get ripped off he even tried to get the previous employees to sign a document not to disclose anything what went on but i’m sick of seeing him trying to do business and ruining not only his but former staff members names.
He sold many of those names before informing the staff, formatted servers without making backups and the last thing he did was steal the Bringto.net name from me with his lies.
So please find a good host and do not order from him.
