VPS Villiage, part of GrokThis.net, is having a budge Xen VPS plan for $6/month, and you get:
- 64MB memory
- 128MB swap
- 4GB storage
- 50GB monthly transfer
- Debian, Fedora Core or Ubuntu
- Philadelphia, PA
Quarterly billing so $18 for 3 months. GrokThis.com has been in Xen VPS business for many years so a trust worthy provider.

Not GrokThis.com but grokthis.net. :)
I have emailed grokthis.net about VPS Village’s relationship with them but get no response.
Sorry. My typo. It is now fixed. Thanks!
They upgraded their plans. Now in smallest plan 96MB RAM is available. Connectivity (at least to their website) is pretty good: http://site-uptime.net/su.cgi/en/report?publicKey=4w8u5s20po7qdjmazer62bpo1ulg5cvd so maybe I’ll give them a try in near future.
This VPS sucks. The price is OK but the frequent downtime is preposterous!
You are not informed about the downtime of your host and when you discovered it, you have to contact the support for a fix. The inquiry is sometimes ignored and the communication is not always successful.
My experience is that it is a one-man company and forget about it if you don’t want to the frequent downtime!
