If I purchase 2 VDR4, can I create 1 VPS with 8GB RAM, 8 vCores, 90GB SSD, and so on?

    • Hello,

No you cannot. You would have to order a VDR8 (LEB promocode still applies so it should be the same price as 2 x VDR4). Larger plans can be found on our website: http://www.impactvps.com

Just tried signing up and was flagged as “high risk” immediately – I have a couple other vps servers that are severely underutilized and have them just to keep my skills on the latest stuff up to speed. I never had any problems before. I understand that policing is necessary to keep everyone’s vps up and running but this seems like a overzealous blanket policy for the convenience of impactvps at the expense of their customers if someone who is squeaky clean is caught up in it from the get go. If you think I am a “high risk” well then the feeling is mutual.

I don’t care for my VM as I won’t need that much traffic anyhow, but it doesn’t seem likely that that’s a local defect of one VM? And yeah, I downloaded 100 MB (of HTTP payload) to the server, and subsequently, the counter increased by about 200 MB (and the counter before also seemed to be roughly twice the total of in- and outbound traffic up to that point, though that’s just a rough estimate).

hi – what’s the definition of spam you guys use, because the terms of service claim a $250 charge will be assessed. because your definition is loose, will this apply to mailing lists, or is it solely for people doing mass unsolicited email? you know, “Viagra for cheap,” stuff?

I will be sending some email through my server now and then – mailing list type stuff, doesn’t resemble advertisements. it’s hand typed.

for example, from time to time I send the state employees private emails about specific political issues or crimes that happen.

my mail definitely fully complies with the can spam act of 2003, so what precisely do you consider spam that might trigger the $250 charge?

ok thanks. I signed up but here is my specs: I might end up sending 20,000 emails at a time to people on my mailing list.

I would do this a few times a month, probably max 10 times a month but I’m not limiting myself to nothing.

the mailings are being done for political activism and because of my lawsuit I have going.

this isn’t the thing where I’m spamming random people trying to get my hits up, ie a spammer might send a million emails trying to get people to click through to phish or buy some scam items. so that’s good to go?

btw never had a problem at any of my previous providers but I was just checking. I’ll assume I’m good if no complaints come through.

the main purpose of my VPS is actually VPN and IRC, the mailing thing is just in case I end up wanted to send some of my mailings through or not.
