I have received 3 “exclusive offers” from 3 different providers over the last 2 days, and I will try to post them in the next few hours (when I can squeeze in some time). Here’s first one — QuickWeb — one of the advertisers here who is now celebrating their 2nd year founding anniversary, is replacing their previous offer with the following offers:
Offer 1 — OpenVZ VPS in Softlayer DC
- 80MB guaranteed/128MB burstable memory
- 5GB storage
- 500GB/month data transfer
- OpenVZ
- $27.90/6 Months ($4.95/month)
- Softlayer DC
Offer 2 — Tiny Xen VPS in San Jose
- 64MB memory/128MB swap
- 3GB storage
- 300GB/month data transfer
- $36/Year
- Xen
- Take2Hosting DC in San Jose
- Order link
Prepayment are required to cover the merchant fee from PayPal. However QuickWeb let me know about their “Peace of Mind Refund Policy”
You can cancel your account anytime for refund of remaining months when pre-paid annually or semi-annually, refund is subject to standard monthly plan rate of used month(s) or part there-of. Questions or Inquiry write us at sales(at)quickweb.co.nz
More coming later :)

Two things I am sure
1) It is 80MB not 80GB
2) It will be out of front page before end of May.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for pointing that, i noticed that too but could not edit, Offer 2 Free Upgrade to 80Mb Dedicated RAM…. to make it simple the free upgrade special offer is valid within May 2010 ^^
Thanks,
Joe
Site is offline it seems.
Hello,
Order page (WHCMS) should be backup online, we’ve been being DDoS for 3 straight days now (only the website all services VPS node are on different networks), we have just contained the attacks though ongoing!… it’s been really massive! our site should be accessible here: http://quickweb.co.nz/index.php
Sorry for inconvenience.
Joe
Joe,
You mentioned you guys will double the dedicated RAM on offer one. Would the burst be double as well? Making it 160/256?
Hi terri,
We’re bit generous this month than ever…. yes bust is also doubled to 256MB :)
Joe
Just to throw in a quick word, I use these folks for my own personal sites and I think they’re wonderful. :)
Signed up for the xen one, and impressed so far. Would love to see a bsd variant be offered on it though, seeing as both Freebsd now supports Xen (and vice versa). Nothing wrong the penguin, but I like the demon instead. :)
Hello, thanks & welcome to QuickWeb :) FreeBSD is availale via Xen HVM option which means you can install it straight from installer image just like a dedicated machine (it also supports Windows OS). Though our HVM Xen has different pricing so contact us for quote.
Joe
does the openvz based vps include tun/tap device ? I need that for openvpn.
we can enable tun/tap by request thanks.
It seems offer 2 is the cheapest plan available in VPS market. (Well, actually RamHost is $0.01 cheaper. But you get 1 GB additional disk space and Xen instead of OpenVZ at QuickWeb for this $0.01. Besides, RamHost is sold out currently.)
@weakish
If I’m not mistaken, the offer from RackVM, currently at the front page of lowendbox.com, is the cheapest plan now. It’s £1.42/month or €1.63EUR/month, according to comments there (http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/rackvm-exclusive-offer-uk-vps/#comment-4197 and http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/rackvm-exclusive-offer-uk-vps/#comment-4213).
That plan is also Xen-based, has better memory and storage than QuickWeb’s offer 2, but data transfer quota is 100GB.
@Botnet Tracker – Chih-Cherng Chin
Thanks for pointing out this.
@Botnet Tracker – Chih-Cherng Chin
That is pro-rated.
Hi Guys,
We might not be the cheapest around but we have a track record of providing exceptional service on top of cheap price :) that is something like “priceless” – yes we do accept master card :)
cheers,
Joe
@QuickWeb-Joe
Checked your wht link but couldn’t use the discount code mentioned for OpenVZ packages.
I also want Ubuntu 8.10 but couldn’t opt for that in order page.
Lastly, can I request HyperVM?
Thanks lowendbox admin.
Please let me know w/c promo code your trying to use and the plan you’re after so I can look. Thanks
