Rizie – $6 512MB OpenVZ VPS Exclusive Offer

Updated February 2012 — Rizie is closing down according to this comment but they are giving back pro-rata refund so not exactly doing a runner. I guess low end market is no longer beneficial to them.

Rizie Thomas from Rizie contacted me to offer their exclusive deals for the LowEndBox readers. They have been in web hosting business since 2005. Although their shared hosting servers are located with WebNX in Los Angeles, their VPS nodes are actually in “Kansas & Pennsylvania”, which I guess would be in Kansas City with Wholesale Internet, and Scranton with HostNOC. Anyway, here is the direct ordering link to their “Riz-LEB” package. It might show up as $12, but use promo code LEBSEP12 to bring it down to $6/month. The package comes with

  • 512MB guaranteed/1024MB burstable memory
  • 30GB storage
  • 500GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ SolusVM

Basically you get extra memory allocated to you comparing with their previous offer.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.

Kansas City and Kansas are both different locations. One is a city in Missouri and other is a state. Although I’m sure you know but that leaves me confused.

  3. Nope. I have only been to US *once* and that was more than 20 years ago. I actually don’t know any previously featured provider that is in Kansas state — but usually in Oak Tower, Kansas City MO.

  5. This is one of the reasons why I wish hosts would state what datacenter they’re in on their sites. I don’t see any information on their site about where they’re located.
