LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

VPSBG - €4.80 ($6.55) /month 512MB SSD OpenVZ VPS in Sofia, Bulgaria

VPSBG_Offshore_VPS_hosting_in_Sofia,_Bulgaria_-_2014-06-23_06.32.05Rosen, from VPSBG, contacted us recently with an exclusive offer for LowEndBox readers for a VPS in Bulgaria! VPSBG is part of Solidex Ltd., which is a registered hosting company in Bulgaria (company registration number: 121175406). They have launched in April 2013 and have been working hard to grow ever since. Host nodes are Supermicro servers using Intel Xeon X3-1240v3 CPUs with speeds of 3.4 GHz+, 32GB  or RAM, and  Samsung Evo 840 SSDs in a RAID configuration. VPSBG claims not to oversell their nodes, which is a good thing. They are also the first host I see that uses OVZ Web Panel, rather than SolusVM, which makes this more interesting to try out. I haven’t been able to find any reviews, so if you do give them a try, please let us know about it!

The offer

  • 512MB RAM
  • 512MB vSwap
  • 1 vCPU core
  • 15GB SSD space
  • 500GB bandwidth
  • 1Gbps uplink
  • 1x IPv4
  • IPv6 on request
  • OpenVZ/OVZ Web Panel
  • Coupon: leb20
  • €4.80 ($6.55) /month
  • Order here

VPSBG accepts PayPal, bank transfer, Bitcoin, and Litecoin for payments. They have a 14-day refund policy but will deny a refund in cases of abuse. IRC is allowed, as are proxies and TOR (for private use only). Adult content is also allowed, as long as it does not violate any Bulgarian laws. Please read their full Terms of Service before ordering.

Expired SSL certificate, and their logo looks very similar to HostDime…

  2. Hello,

Our certificate expires on 28-Jun-15 and has been renewed on 09-Jun-14 and has never expired (it is also EV cert).

Sorry, but we haven’t seen the HostDime logo till now.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

    • No – your cert reported that it expired 6/21/2014. It is STILL reporting as expired.

      • Apparently it was a misconfiguration on one of our cdn so some of the visitors got the old cert while others the new one.

Should be ok now, thank you.

    • We decided not to trust SolusVM because of past exploits and problems.

    • Hm, maybe you meant the virtualization not the panel (my mistake).
We have also KVM nodes (contact us if you need KVM VPS – we still have some space) but we have stopped offering it because of low popularity.
