LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

VirMach - First month free VPS ($1/month after) and more starting at $1.95/month for 128MB in Buffalo

Homepage_VirMach.comVirMach.com_Premium_yet_affordable_VPS_hosting_-_2014-07-11_06.18.27Amir, from VirMach, has sent in these exclusive offers for LowEndBox readers. VirMach is quite a new company having opened shop little over a month ago. Amir runs the company with a partner and has registered an LLC in the state of Oklahoma, where VirMach resides. These offers are hosted on a host node with an E3-1240v2 CPU, 32GB of RAM, and 4x 512GB SSD drives configured in RAID10 backed up by a RAID card. The server is rented through Hudson Valley Host which is part of ColoCrossing. VirMach has two sister companies; vpsgamers.com and vpscraft.com which also seem to revolve around VPS hosting. They do offer a 24-hours 100% money back guarantee and work on refund requests on a case-by-case basis outside of that period. The free month special is limited to the first 50 signups, so be quick to grab one of those if you want to! As usual, please leave your feedback here in the comments or at LowEndTalk!

  1. Just grabbed a Special #1, a few things I want to say so far about this company:
-They emailed me my account password in plain text. (WHMCS one, not the root one)
-I can’t seem to find the SolusVM adress/IP anywhere, the only thing I can do with the VPS (via the WHCMS) are power related actions and upgrade/downgrade to other plans, no reinstall options.
-The generated invoice has a “Logo placeholder” instead of their actual logo :D .

    July 11, 2014 @ 1:29 pm | Reply
    • We left most of the WHMCS setting on default, which explains the password in the e-mail and the logo placeholder. I’ve removed the password being e-mailed for future orders, although some people do prefer it. The SolusVM e-mail did not properly send out for the free special, but that issue has now been resolved. Thanks for your feedback.

105MB/s speed on a “4x 512GB SSD RAID 10” node seems to be very slow.

ColoCrossing – Buffalo, New York, USA
    Test IPv4: 23.95.15.6

The test IP 23.95.15.6 is on both the Spamhaus SBL and Spamhaus Zen block lists. In fact the whole IP range that test IP is on is blacklisted by Spamhaus. The SWIP on the IP shows it is swipped to Hudson Valley Host which is owned by Velocity Servers Inc (ColoCrossing) which is also the owwner of LowEndTalk. FYI, 59% (420K+) of ColoCrossing’s 724K IPs are currently blacklisted by Spamhaus

What is it with LowEndBox’s writers/owners repeatedly listing blacklisted test IPs of ColoCrossing clients and not warning potential buyers about the blacklistings? I’m sure the FTC wouldn’t approve of it.

its not a case of that its just Spamhaus doesnt like Colocrossing too much

    • I apologize. We’ve contacted ColoCrossing and they told us that they’re actively working on the issue. In the event that a customer did order from us and could not utilize their VPS for their needs due to the IP being listed on Spamhaus, we would either give a full refund or offer a plan on a server using a different datacenter.

    • perennate:

ColoCrossing does not maintain these blacklists, nor do the blacklists have any official grounds. Why would LowEndBox be (legally) expected to state that the IP addresses are on some essentially random list? Hell, I could start my own list and add some random IP addresses.

The FTC should be more concerned about SpamHaus unreasonably adding certain ranges to their blacklists.

      July 11, 2014 @ 6:40 pm | Reply
      • Spamhaus blacklisting IPs that are sending SPAM is a good thing because that SPAM costs companies on the receiving end of the SPAM like mine a hell of a lot of money on an annual basis in dealing with it. 50% of all US originated SPAM we’ve been hit with have come from IP addresses controlled by LowEndBox’s owner ColoCrossing so I would love to see ColoCrossing’s entire ASN blacklisted until they get serious about fighting SPAM. Maybe Biloh and ColoCrossing should send a check to all of the companies that have been victims of the SPAM coming from their ColoCrossing’s network to compensate them for the added costs incurred in dealing with all that CC-originated SPAM.. The SPAM coming from CC’s network would be greatly reduced if ColoCrossing implemented the steps Spamhaus has suggested like rate limiting of outgoing emails and ID verification. Other companies shouldn’t have to bear the cost because some bozos in Buffalo who are spammer friendly will do anything for a buck, even if it means selling IP space to ther worst ROKSO listed spam gangas..

  5. Andrei G.:

If the post description is real that server will cost $450-$550 /month.

With that prices you will close the company when summer ends.

    I wish you good luck

    • Please make a ticket on the account where your order was marked as fraud and I’ll run a manual check. I apologize if you were marked as fraud mistakenly. We use MaxMind for automatic fraud checks. I only recall manually marking one or two orders as fraud because the customer listed their address as something like “123 Address Road.”

    July 13, 2014 @ 2:04 am | Reply
    • We’re expanding to other locations. We do currently offer HDD plans that are cheaper, in a different location, however, we do not offer Raid 10 SSD plans anywhere else at the moment. Please make a ticket with the location/specifications you’re interested in and we might be able to assist you or give you further information.

  9. So, for this location, you have your services with HudsonValley Host, which then goes through ColoCrossing, which rents rack space in a datacenter. Three guys ahead of you.

Virmach.com cancelled my 12 windows VPS’s which I use soley for opening my gmail and looking at a blog. I have never seen such a poor vps provider and I work with many! Since stealing the $100, we’re moving onto a different provider. When they say, youre using too much of your cpu, what they really mean is, “we want you to give us an extra $10/m per server to keep your servers online”. Unbelievable. The crazier thing is that we DONT USE CPU, or bandwidth or hardly anything.

I want to tell all the people here. It is a cheater. You can not open a ticket untill it’s three days later. Whatever you write in a ticket, it shows “Your ticket appears to be about a common issue. Please check our knowledgebase before submitting a ticket, to help lower our ticket volume and allow us to give faster responses”. While the refund date is just within 24hours,so it is impossible for you to get you refund.

What’s more, when I use the VPS for just a few hours,my vps is suspended. It said I use up my server’s bandwidth.I did not download any big file ,then my 500GB was gone. Are you kidding me? Then I found I just had the right to open ticket, and it is three days later. But the support ticket tell me nothing about why the bandwidth usage is so high and just request me to purchase more bandwidth. It’s $5 for 500GB and I can just use it for three days.It means if I want to use the VPS nomally,I would have to pay extra $600 for it?

The service is so terrible and I recommend everyone not to buy it.Or you will regret for this.
