LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

DediPath: Special Halloween Offer for LEB Readers! (1GB for $1.75/month in CA/FL/NJ/NV)

Ernie from DediPath contacted us with a special Halloween offer for LEB readers.  He even provided some snazzy artwork to go with it!

We featured DediPath back in August. For those who don’t memorize every post (why?), they provide dedicated, colocation, and VPS services in Los Angeles, New Jersey, Las Vegas, and Jacksonville.  They’re bringing us a full spread offer here: OpenVZ, KVM, and dedicated server offers.

1GB with 2 cores on an unmetered 1gbps port for $1.75/month sounds pretty sweet!  So if you need some spooktacular savings (sorry, by law I’m required to use at least one cheesy Halloween pun for any post featuring pumpkin art), give DediPath a spin and be sure to report back how it goes.

They’re registered in Delaware and their WHOIS is public.  You can find their TOS here.  You can sign up and pay with Paypal, credit cards, BitCoin, and AliPay.

Here’s what they had to say:

“DediPath was established in 2017.  DediPath is a provider of infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offering dedicated servers, colocation, VPS and IP transit services in Los Angeles, CA, Secaucus, NJ, and Las Vegas, Nevada.  DediPath offers 24x7x365 technical support as well as a 99.99% uptime SLA. Our top priorities are service uptime and customer satisfaction.”

Impressive as in the middle of 2020, there are still companies that want us to print forms to fill in manually, paste a credit card photo (even though most of them are virtual credit cards) to check it out.

We will have more ecological awareness.

    • Unfortunately, credit card fraud still occurs in 2020. We do not require verification on paypal, bitcoin and alipay transactions.

I’m looking for a KVM provider that doesn’t offer IPs clasified as DCH (Data Center/Web Hosting/Transit).
What I want is to use a Windows as a home user and avoid CloudIP detections.
Most of VPS offers I’ve seen are listed at ip2location.com

Not crazy impressed off the start, signed up for VPS and the paid with PayPal. There website shows I haven’t paid and PayPal shows I have paid…

Figured it was no big deal being i seen “24x7x365 Support” when signing up, but unfortunately we’ll a response was quick billing problems are only normal business hours.

I won’t be hosting here due to the above problems before I even have the VPS in my hands to try…

As a side comment, give there “acceptable use policy” a good read before you consider using or reselling there services there’s some lovely $30 a complaint fee and such other oddities in there.

I actually got an reply sooner then expected (or the claimed it would be) , long story short they won’t even offer a refund when there billing system bugged and you went else were, I’d avoid this host like the plague

        • I’ve canceled and refunded your service. PayPal IPN seems to be a bit delayed today which delayed the payment posting. Apologies for any delay you faced.

    Hi!
    1. Is the coupon code still good?
    2. So the 40% off for the hybrid & dedi does not recur? It’s only 40% off for the first payment?

    • Hey Leo,
      The coupon is still good!

      The 40% off is recurring!

Customer for about 1.5 days, November 1st to 2nd. OpenVZ.

Setup was fine. Paid via PayPal, server was setup within an hour I think. Did take a short bit for their system to acknowledge payment.

Problems within minutes of logging in the VPS the first time. Server disappeared several times over that 1.5 days, several periods of packet loss. I started monitoring internally and externally mostly because support, while fast and came across as friendly, didn’t even acknowledge there was a problem, let alone that they were doing anything to address it.

That was my only real issue, how they handled support. If it wasn’t for that, I would have given it a bit longer, see if they could smooth out whatever was going on. I don’t expect that a discounted and shared OpenVZ server experience will be flawless 100% of the time, but I do expect that support should take problem reports seriously. If they did, they failed to convey that to me.

Registered with them for 4/5 days and server down for around 15/20 time within that period, really disappointed with their support teams responses, even for downtime reporting responses comes after hours and hours later, have created more tickets then ever with my last provider (2 yrs), now thinking about to go back to my last provider again
